What Are Extra Jumbo Peeled & Deveined Tail-On Shrimp?

Our peeled and deveined (P&D) Gulf shrimp are sourced from the Gulf, where they can grow naturally to extra jumbo size. Our team carefully removes the head, hand-peels each shrimp down to the tail, and removes the vein. The tail is left intact, which can add visual appeal to your presentation.

Thanks to the natural habitats of the Gulf, our wild-caught shrimp has a sweet flavor and a tender bite that can’t be found from a hatchery. Our shrimp are processed on the Back Bay in our state-of-the-art facility in Biloxi, Mississippi, before being packaged for your delivery. Orders received Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday before 12 noon CT, are shipped that afternoon UPS Next Day Air to arrive the next day. Since UPS takes responsibility for getting your shrimp to you overnight, we recommend low cost shipping protection insurance through Route just in case there is an issue.

Processing our P&D tail-on shrimp cannot be done by a machine, and every step is done by hand to ensure the tail stays intact. It’s a lot of hard work and commitment, which is why tail-on is only available in sizes 16/20 or larger.
