Five Easy School Night Shrimp Recipes

Shrimp provide a perfect meal for busy families on-the-go because they’re a great source of protein that can go from pan to plate in minutes. To help get your meals rolling, we’ve pulled together five simple shrimp recipes that are perfect for those late school nights.
Shrimp Mac & Cheese (serves 4-5)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. of our Extra Small 61/90 Count Peeled & Deveined Tail-Off Gulf Shrimp
- (1) 12 oz. box of Macaroni & Cheese (or homemade mac & cheese)
- One-half onion (diced)
- 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
- One-quarter teaspoon creole seasoning or other seasoning to taste
- Peas or broccoli (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- Add butter to a frying pan on medium low heat and sauté onions until cooked.
- Once onions are cooked, add shrimp with seasoning and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Add cheese sauce to noodles combined with shrimp and any additives (peas or broccoli) of your choice. Enjoy!
Simple Shrimp Fried Rice Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. of our delicious Medium 41/60 Count Peeled & Deveined Tail-Off Gulf Shrimp
- 1 bag of frozen fried rice per pound of shrimp
DIRECTIONS
- Thaw shrimp per bag instructions and cook in a buttered pan until pink.
- Cook frozen fried rice based on the package directions.
- Combine and enjoy!
- Easy Shrimp Tacos Recipe
Easy Shrimp Tacos Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. of our Medium 41/60 Count Peeled & Deveined Tail-Off Gulf Shrimp (or more as needed)
- 1 packet of taco seasoning (your choice) per pound of shrimp
- 4 soft taco shells per pound of shrimp
- Shredded mixed cheese and other taco add-ons of your choice.
DIRECTIONS
- Thaw shrimp, coat in taco seasoning (as specified on the packet) and cook in buttered pan until pink.
- Fill taco shells with shrimp, shredded cheese, and other add-ons. Enjoy!
Super Simple Garlicky Buttery Shrimp With Pasta
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 lb. of our Medium 41/60 Count Peeled & Deveined Tail-Off Gulf Shrimp
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 2-3 tsp. minced garlic
- Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 lb. (16 oz) spaghetti or pasta of choice.
DIRECTIONS:
- Cook pasta per package instructions.
- Place the butter in a large pan and melt over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Add the garlic and cook for one more minute.
- Stir in the lemon juice and parsley, then serve over pasta. Enjoy!
Simple Shrimp Alfredo
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. of our Medium 41/60 Count Peeled & Deveined Tail-Off Gulf Shrimp (or more as needed)
- 1 lb. (16 oz) fettuccine or pasta of choice (per pound of shrimp)
- 1 jar of Alfredo sauce (or jarred sauce) per pound of shrimp
DIRECTIONS
- Cook and drain the fettuccine according to the package directions.
- Thaw shrimp and cook in a buttered pan until pink.
- Stir sauce in with the shrimp in the skillet and cook until hot.
- Serve shrimp and sauce over pasta and enjoy!
