Easy & Healthy Gulf Shrimp Recipes to Kick Off the New Year!

As the New Year begins, many of us set resolutions to live healthier, and what better way to do that than nutritious meals you look forward to eating? Shrimp are high in protein and low in calories, which makes them the perfect food to shed pounds without sacrificing taste.

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite light and healthy shrimp recipes to help you lose weight and feel great in 2025!

HONEY GARLIC SHRIMP

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Whisk the honey, soy sauce and garlic together in a bowl to create your marinade.
  2. Place shrimp in a large, zipped bag. Pour half of the marinade on top, shake and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook shrimp in the skillet, about one minute for each side, until they turn pink. Add the other half of your marinade to the skillet until the shrimp are cooked through, about one more minute.
  4. 4.Serve and enjoy!

SHRIMP AVOCADO SALAD

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb Extra Small 61/90 Count Peeled & Deveined Tail-Off Shrimp
  • 2 cups of chopped lettuce (or 1 bag of chopped lettuce)
  • 2 sliced avocados
  • 10 cherry tomatoes cut into halves
  • ½ cup of diced red onions
  • ½ cup of sunflower seeds
  • Dressing
    • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
    • 3 tablespoons of lime juice
    • ½ teaspoon of salt
    • ½ teaspoon of pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put a skillet over medium heat. Cook shrimp in the skillet, about one minute for each side, until they turn pink. Set aside to cool.
  2. For the dressing, take the bowl that you’ll make the salad in and combine the olive oil, lime juice, salt and pepper and whisk.
  3. Add shrimp to the bowl, then add the lettuce, avocados, cherry tomatoes, red onions and sunflower seeds. Toss salad.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

SHRIMP TORTILLA WRAPS

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put a skillet over medium heat. Add red bell pepper and sprinkle with one tablespoon of fajita seasoning.
  2. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook, about one minute for each side, until they turn pink. Sprinkle second tablespoon of fajita seasoning over shrimp while cooking.
  3. Gather your tortillas and add lettuce, pico de gallo and then shrimp.
  4. Fold, serve and enjoy
