Date night at home with that special someone can make for a more intimate evening, meaning it deserves an exceptional meal filled with delicious flavor. Try preparing your date night meal with shrimp to spice things up a bit. Crab-Stuffed Shrimp Appetizer

Start your meal right with a well-presented appetizer. This light and flavorful Crab-Stuffed Shrimp dish will allow you and your significant other to enjoy each other’s company while indulging in a tasty treat that won’t fill you up before the main course:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F, and spray nonstick cooking spray on the bottom of a baking pan.
  2. Butterfly the shrimp (slicing from head to tail without cutting all the way through) and then set aside.
  3. Take the lemon and slice it thinly. Spread thin slices of lemon on the bottom of the baking pan along with the cleaned parsley.
  4. In a large pan, heat the olive oil on medium-high heat. Sauté the celery, onions and bell peppers until they soften. Once soft, remove the pan from heat.
  5. Add crab meat, mustard, green onions, lemon zest and seasoning to the pan and mix well.
  6. Once mixed, stuff the shrimp with a scoop of the mixture. Repeat until all the shrimp are filled.
  7. Space out the shrimp on the baking sheet and top them with breadcrumbs. Finish each shrimp with a pat of butter on top and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes in the oven or until golden brown.

Shrimp Francese Over Angel Hair Pasta

This elegant Shrimp Francese Over Angel Hair Pasta dish comes together in about 30 minutes and is a great choice for date night. Impress your significant other with your cooking skills using this flavorful, yet simple, dinner:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the angel hair pasta, stirring occasionally.
  2. Butterfly the shrimp (slicing from head to tail without cutting all the way through) and then lightly press them open.
  3. Mix flour, salt, garlic and black pepper in a shallow dish. Reserve 2 tbsp. of the flour mixture and set aside. Coat shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tbsp. oil. Melt 2 tbsp. butter in the hot oil, and then add shrimp. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until shrimp turn bright pink. Remove the shrimp and keep them warm.
  5. Heat the remaining 2 tbsp. oil in the same skillet and add the reserved flour mixture. Stir and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add chicken broth and white wine. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  6. Reduce heat and then add cream and lemon juice. Stir and cook until sauce has slightly thickened, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove skillet from heat and stir in remaining 2 tbsp. butter until melted.
  7. To serve, divide the pasta into bowls, topping each with lemon sauce and about 4 to 5 shrimp per bowl.
