When fall weather rolls around and there’s a refreshing chill in the air, many of us turn to warm and hearty dishes like a bowl of pasta or gumbo. Biloxi’s Shrimp Tacos

Fall means football season! Try Biloxi’s Shrimp Tacos at your next tailgate or party – they’re sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Cooking Instructions

1.Thaw shrimp.

2.Heat a buttered pan over medium-high heat.

3.Coat shrimp in taco seasoning (as specified on the packet), and cook in pan until pink, about 6-8 minutes.

4.Fill tortillas with shrimp, shredded cheese and other add-ons.

Wild-Caught Shrimp Gumbo

When the weather starts to cool down, a protein and veggie-rich gumbo makes for a perfect one-pot meal. Wild-caught shrimp gumbo has a lot of ingredients, but it’s surprisingly easy to make – just put everything in the pot and leave it to simmer!

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour, browned dark
  • 3 bunches of green onions
  • 3 large onions, chopped
  • 6 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 bell pepper, green or yellow, chopped
  • 1/2 bunch of celery chopped
  • 3 lbs. okra, chopped
  • 1 large center cut ham, chopped
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 3 14-oz. cans of low-sodium chicken broth
  • 5 lbs. of Jumbo 21/30 Peeled & Deveined Tail-On Wild-Caught Gulf Shrimp
  • 2 16-oz. cans of stewed tomatoes
  • 3 links of smoked beef sausage
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb. lump crab meat
  • 1/2 lb. crab claws or 3 whole crab bodies
  • 1 qt. of raw oysters
  • 2 qt. of water

Cooking Instructions

1.After creating your roux, add all ingredients minus the shrimp.

2.Cover and simmer for one hour.

3.Just before serving, add the green onions and shrimp.

4.Simmer another 5-7 minutes until shrimp are cooked.

5.Garnish and serve.

6.Serve shrimp on their own or over your favorite pasta.
